HDC | DSD Clinic
About the project

HDC is the first clinic in the Netherlands designed entirely according to the philosophy and spatial guidelines of Digital Smile Design (DSD). More than a clinic, it’s a future-forward experience center, a fully immersive brand space that redefines the patient journey by blending cutting-edge dental innovation with emotionally intelligent design.

HDC | DSD Clinic
The solution

We envisioned HDC as a non-clinical, dual-space concept: transitioning from bright, open environments into darker, intimate zones, creating contrast, anticipation, and calm. From the SmileLounge to the Digital Check-In, Smile Simulation Room, Presentation Suite, and high-tech Treatment Rooms, every touchpoint is choreographed as part of a seamless patient experience. The space features custom-designed joinery, interactive digital elements, and biodynamic lighting that adapts in real time to the treatment phase, from casual consultations to advanced surgical procedures, supporting both emotion and functionality.

Results

The outcome is a first-of-its-kind dental clinic where architecture becomes part of the healing and transformation process. HDC is not just a clinic, but a bold statement in healthcare design, fusing emotional storytelling, spatial psychology, and advanced dental technology into a unified experience that reflects the future of patient care.
