Maison 1824
About the project

Maison 1824 is the complete architectural and spatial transformation of one of France’s most historically significant private residences, originally built in 1824. Nestled in the cultural fabric of the Niort region, the project redefines the notion of restoration — not as a return to the past, but as a powerful connection between legacy and future.

Maison 1824
The solution

Led by Pouyan Mehdizadeh, we approached the 7,700 square meter interior and 20,000 square meter surrounding landscape with a vision to sculpt a space that feels both timeless and forward-facing. Every layer — from architectural interventions to custom millwork, lighting, and spatial rhythm — was designed with precision and restraint, allowing history to breathe while elevating the present.

Inspired by heritage yet not bound by it, we infused the project with a quiet grandeur. Curved transitions, softened symmetry, and tactile materials guide the user through an experience that is at once monumental and intimate. The space has been restructured not only for function, but for feeling — where time slows down and emotion takes root.

Maison 1824
Results

As part of the transformation, we are also leading the creation of the brand, identity, and digital platform — forming a complete ecosystem where architecture, story, and experience are deeply intertwined. Maison 1824 is no longer just a building; it is a living vision — a bridge between eras, made to endure.

Scope: Architectural transformation, interior design, monumental restoration, custom millwork, lighting design, landscape, branding, experience concept, digital design.
